<p><a href="http://demon.ferretdev.org/devblog/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Screenshot33.png"><img alt="Screenshot33" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2739" height="1080" src="http://demon.ferretdev.org/devblog/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Screenshot33.png" width="1920" /></a></p> <p>The 8/21/2024 update of Interdict is now available! <a href="https://ferretdev.itch.io/interdict">https://ferretdev.itch.io/interdict</a></p> <p>This update adds a new type of skill to Interdict: Spell Modifiers. These skills provide Techs and Combos that alter the parameters of spells as you cast them, allowing you to customize your magic to meet the current situation. You can trade-off speed and power, increase the target area, channel spells through an ally&#8217;s attack, and more! A few of these are unlocked for training at the start of the game, so you can try some of them out pretty early in your adventure.</p> <p>But the update isn&#8217;t all just for adepts and sorcerers: almost as many other new skills were added as well, including new skills related to Hiding, new attack Techs, and some additional skills related to explosives. Most of these are only found during the game, but one, Flashpowder Use, is available from the beginning. Flashpowder Use has the unique property of applying daze and stun effects that persist into the next round, which should open new tactical possibilities for parties.</p> <p>I won&#8217;t keep you from the build much longer, but I wanted to throw out my usual reminder to join the <a href="https://discord.gg/9vuDeKfPPg" target="_blank">FerretDev.Org Discord</a> if you&#8217;d like to chat with other Demon and Interdict players.
